Then there fell an hongre in the daies of Dauid thre yeares, year by yeare. And Dauid enquyred of the Lorde. And the Lorde answered it is for Sauls sake and the house of bloude, because he slue the Gabaonites.

And there fel a derth in the land passyng the fyrst derth that fell in the dayes of Abraham. Wherfore Isaac wente vnto Abimelech kynge of the Phylystyans vnto Gerar.

After thys ther came a derth in the lande. And Abram went downe into Egypte, to soiourne ther, for the derth was sore in the land.

When he calleth vpon me, I shall heare hym: yea, I am with hym in hys trouble, wherout I will deliuer him, and bring hym to honoure.

And call vpon me in the tyme of trouble, so wyll I heare the, that thou shalte thanke me.

and wyl saye vnto God: O do not condempne me, but shewe me the cause, wherfore thou iudgeste me on thys maner.

And Eliah went to shew him self vnto Ahab for there was a great famishement in Samaria.

And Eliah the Thesbite whyche was of the enhabiters of Galaad saide vnto Ahab: as truly as the Lorde God of Israel lyueth, before whome I stande, there shal be neyther dewe nor rayne these yeares, saue as I appoynt it.

And Dauid asked the Lorde, & he sayd go not But compasse them on the backsyde & come vpon them from the Peretrees.

And Dauid asked of the Lorde sayinge: shal I go to the Philistines? & wilt thou delyuer them into my handes? And the Lorde sayde vnto Dauid: go for I wyll delyuer the Philistines into thy handes.

wyll the men of Keilah delyuer me into hys hand? or wyll Saul come as thy seruaunt heareth saye? Lorde God of Israell tel thy seruaunt. And the Lorde sayde: he wyll come.

Then Dauid asked the Lorde agayne. And the Lorde answered hym and sayde: vp and go to Keilah, for I will delyuer the Philistines into thyne handes.

Then Dauid asked the Lordes aduyse sayinge: shall I go and smyte the Philistines? And the Lorde sayde vnto Dauid: go and smite the Philistines and saue Keilah.

But yet the children of Israel trespased in the excommunicate thinges for Acan the sonne of Carmi, the sonne of Zabdi, the sonne of Zareh of the trybe of Iuda, toke of the excommunicate thinges. And the wrath of the Lorde waxed whote agaynst the chyldren of Israel.

And he shal stand before Eleazar the prieste which shal axe councel for him after the iudgement of Vrim before the Lorde. And at the mouthe of Eleazar shall both he and all the chyldren of Israell with him and al the congregation go in and out.

And the derth waxed sore in the lande.

And all countrees came to Egypte to Ioseph for to bye corne: bicause that the hunger was so sore in all the landes.

And the sonnes of Israel came to bye corne among other that came, for there was derth also in the lande of Canaan.

The lord hath brought vpon the all the bloude of the house of Saul, in whose stede thou hast raygned, and he hathe delyuered the kyngedome into the hand of Absalom thy sonne. And thou art wrapped aboute wt thyne owne myscheue, because thou arte a bloudesheder.

And Ira the Iairite was lykewyse Dauids prieste.

And they saide vnto the kynge: the man that consumed and imagened to brynge vs to nought, hym we ought to destroye, that nought of hym continew in any of the coastes of Israel,

And the Lorde was wrath again agaynst Israel, and stered vp Dauid against them sayinge: go and nombre bothe Israel & Iuda.

But thys we will do to them and let them liue, and so shal no wrath be vpon vs because of the othe which we sware vnto them.

In the tyme when the Iudges iudged, there felle a darth in the land. Wherfore a certayn man of Bethlehem Iuda went for to soiourne in the countrey of Moab wyth his wyfe and two sonnes.

Then they asked the Lorde further: whither the man shuld come thyther. And the Lorde aunswered: beholde he hath hydde hym selfe among the stuffe.

My hert speketh vnto the, my face seketh the, yea Lorde, thy face wyll I seke.
