For when they haue spoken the swellinge wordes of vanitie, they begyle with wantonnes thorowe the lustes of the fleshe, them that were cleane escaped, but nowe are wrapped in errours.

and thorowe couetousnes shal they wyth fayned wordes make marchaundyse of you, whose iudgement is not farre of, and theyr dampnacion slepeth not.

amonge whiche we also had our conuersation in tyme paste, in the lustes of oure fleshe, and fulfylled the wyll of the fleshe and of the mynde, and were naturallye the chyldren of wrath, euen as well as other.

yea, almoste in euery epistle speakinge of such thinges, amonge whiche are manye thinges harde to be vnderstande, which they that are vnlearned, and vnstable, peruert, as they do other scriptures vnto their owne destruccion.

That we henceforth be no more chyldren, waueringe and caryed wyth euerye wynde of doctryne, by the wylynes of men and craftynes, wherby they laye awayte for vs to deceyue vs.

For they that are such, serue not the Lorde Iesus Christ: but theyr owne bellyes, and with swete preachynges & flatterynge wordes deceyue the hertes of the innocentes.

For there muste be sectes amonge you, that they whyche are perfecte amonge you, myghte be knowen.

Howe can ye beleue which receyue honoure one of another, and seke not the honoure that commeth of God onlye?

O generation of vipers, how can ye say well, when ye your selues are euil? For of the aboundaunce of the herte, the mouth speaketh.

For all that is in the world (as the luste of the fleshe, the lust of the eyes, and the pryde of goodes) is not of the father, but of the world.

for false Christes shal ryse, and false prophetes, and shall shewe myracles and wondres, to deceyue yf it were possible, euen the elect.

For lyke as the man of Iude maye chaunge hys skyne, and the cat of the mountayne her spottes: so maye ye that be exercysed in euell, do good.

There shal neuer be chylde, nor olde man, that haue not their full dayes. But when the childe cometh to an hundreth yeare olde it shall dye. And yf he that is an hundreth yeare of age do wronge, he shalbe cursed.

Washe you, make you cleane, put awaye youre euill thoughtes out of my sighte, cease from doynge of euyll and vyolence.

Yf my hert hath lusted after my neyghboures wyfe, or yf I haue layd wayte at his dore.

Yf so be that I haue with drawne my fote out of the right waye, yf my herte hath folowed myne eye syght, yf I haue stayned or defyled my handes.

And the great dragon, that olde serpente called the deuyll and Sathanas was caste out. Whiche deceyueth al the worlde. And he was cast into the earth, and his angelles were cast out also.

Wo be vnto you Scribes and Phariseis, hypocrites, ye deuoure wyddowes houses, & that vnder a coloure of praieng long prayers wherfore ye shall receyue great damnacion.
