namely them that walke after the fleshe in the luste of vncleanes, and despyse the rulars. Presumpteous are they, & stubborne and feare not to speake euyl of them that are in authoritie.

These are murmurers, complayners, walkyng after theyr owne iustes, whose mouthes speake proud thinges. They haue men in great reuerence because of vauntage.

But these speake euyl of those thynges they know not, and what thynges they knowe naturally as beastes which are wythout reason, in those thynges they corrupte them selues.

howe that they tolde you that there shoulde be begylers in the laste tyme whiche shoulde walke after theyr owne vngodlye lustes.

Thou shalt not rayle vpon the goddes, nether cursse the ruler of thy people.

This fyrst vnderstande, that there shall come in the laste dayes mockers, which wyll walke after their own lustes

For there are certayne craftely crept in, of which it was wrytten afore tyme vnto suche iudgement. They are vngodlye & turne the grace of oure God vnto wantonnes, and denye God the onelye Lorde, and oure Lord Iesus Christe.

For this ye knowe, that no whormonger, other vncleane persone, or couetous person, whyche is the worshypper of Images, hath anye inheritaunce in the kyngdome of Christe and of God.

But hys citisens hated hym, and sente messengers after hym, saiynge: we will not haue thys man to reygne ouer vs.

Let wedlocke be had in pryce in all poyntes, and let the chambre be vndefyled: for whorekepers and aduouterers God wyll iudge.

For a byshoppe must be fautelesse, as it becommeth the mynister of God: not stubborne, not angrye, no dronkarde, no fyghter, not geuen to fylthy lucre:

Mortifie therfore, youre members whiche are on the earth, fornicacion, vnclenes, vnnatural, lust euil concupiscence, and couetousnesse, which is worshippinge of Idolles,

Do ye not remembre, howe that the vnrightuous shall not inheret the kyngdome of God? Be not deceyued. For neither fornicatours, neither worshipers of ymages, neither whormongers, neyther weaklinges, neither abusers of them selues wyth the mankynde,

Then sayde Paule: I wyste not brethren that he was the hye priest. For it is writen: thou shalt not cursse the ruler of thy people.

Wyshe the kynge no euell in thy thoughte, and speake no hurte of the ryche in thy preuy chambre: for a byrde of the ayre shall betraye thy voyce, and wyth her fethers shall she bewraye thy wordes.

For God hath not called vs to vncleanes, but vnto holines.

Neuerthelesse thoughe we walke compassed wt the fleshe, yet we ware not fleshly.

There is then no damnation to them which are in Christ Iesu, which walke not after the flesh: but after the spirite.

Yf ye be the people of the Lorde, then herken vnto this worde: Am I then become a wyldernesse vnto the people of Israel? or a lande that hath no light? Wherfore sayeth my people then: we are fallen of, and we wyl come no more vnto the?

Which saye: oure tonge shoulde preuayle we are they that oughte too speake, who is Lord ouer vs?

And when all Israel sawe that the kynge regarded them not, the people aunswered the kynge agayne sayinge: we haue no parte in Dauid, nor enheritaunce in the sonne of Isai. To youre tentes therfor Israel, & nowe se to thyne owne house Dauid. And so Israell departed vnto theyr tentes.

And there happened to be an vnthryftye felow named Seba the sonne of Bochri a man of Gemini whyche blewe a trompet and sayde: we haue no parte in Dauid, nor inheritaunce in the sonne of Isai, o Israel, let vs depart therfore euery man to hys tent.

But the children of vnthryftynesse sayde: how shall he saue vs? and despysed him & brought hym not presentes. And he made as though he had not hearde it.

And the soule that doeth ought presumptously, whether he be an Israelite or a straunger, the same hath despised the Lorde. And that soule shal be destroied from among his people

In to theyr secrettes come not my soule, and vnto their congregacion be my honour not coupled: for in their wrath they slewe a man, and in theyr selfe wyll they houghed an oxe.

whiche beyng paste repentaunce, haue geuen them selues vnto wantonnes, to worke al maner of vncleanes, euen wyth gredines.

For the men shall be louers of theyr owne selues coueteous, bosters, proude, cursed speakers, dysobedyent to father and mother, vnthankefull, vnholye,

And when he cometh, he findeth it swepte and garnyshed.
