Wherfore brethren, geue the more diligence for to make your callinge and eleccion sure. For if ye do suche thinges, ye shal neuer erre.

Ye therfore beloued, seynge ye knowe it before hand, beware lest ye be also plucked away with the errour of the wycked, and fall from your own stedfastnes,

Yea, and we desyre that euerye one of you shew the same dylygence, to the stablyshynge of hope euen vnto the ende:

He wyll not suffer thy fote to be moued, and he that kepeth the slepeth not.

O thou enemye of myne, reioyce not at my fal, for I shal get vp agayne: and thoughe I syt in my darckenesse, yet the Lorde is my lyght.

For he shall neuer be moued, the ryghtuous shall be had in an euerlastynge remembraunce.

And herunto geue al diligence, in youre fayth, mynyster vertue, and in vertue knowledge,

But the sure grounde of God remayneth, and hath thys seale: the Lord knoweth them that are his, & let euerye man that calleth on the name of Christe departe from iniquitie.

He only is my strength, my saluation, my defence, so that I shal not greatly fall.

Blessed are they that do his commaundementes that theyr power maye be in the tree of lyfe, & maye enter in thorowe the gates into the cite.

whiche are kept by the power of God thorowe fayth, vnto saluacyon, whiche saluacyon is prepared all ready to be shewed in the laste tyme,

by the for knoweledge of God the father, thorowe the sanctifiynge of the spyryte, vnto obedience & sprinklyng of the bloude of Iesus Christe. Grace be wyth you & peace be multiplied.

Blessed is the man that doth this & the mans chylde which kepeth the same. He that taketh hede, that he vnhalow not the Sabboth (that is) he that kepeth him self that he do no euyll.

He only is my strength my saluacion, and my defence: so that I shall not fal.

Though he fall, he shall not be hurte, for the Lorde vpholdeth him with his hande.

whiche hope we haue an ancre of the soule both sure and stedfast. Whiche hope also entreth in, into those thynges that are wythin the vayle,

He that geueth not his money vpon vsury, and taketh no rewarde agaynste the innocent. Who so doth these thinges, shall neuer be remoued.

For manye are called and fewe be chosen.

For verelye the giftes and callyng of god are suche, that it cannot repente hym of them,

Whosoeuer shall kepe the whole lawe, and yet fayle in one point he is gyltye in all.

Accordinge as hys godlye power hath geuen vnto vs al thinges that pertayne vnto lyfe and godlines, thorowe the knowledge of him that hath called vs by vertue & glory,

Wherfore dearly beloued, seynge that ye loke for such thinges, be diligent that ye may be found of hym in peace, wythout spotte and vndefyled

Vnto hym that is able to kepe you, that ye fal not, and to preserue you fautles before the presence of hys glorye wyth ioye,

And returned vnto Iosua, and sayde vnto hym, let not all the people go vp, but let as it were a two or thre thousande men go vp and destroye Ai, and make not all the people to laboure thether, for they are but fewe.
