And Ohoziah fell thorowe a lattese wyndowe out of an vpper chambre that he had in Samaria, & fell sycke. Then he sent messengers sayinge vnto them: go & enquyre of Beelzebub the God of Akaron, whether I shal recouer of this disease.

And he sayde vnto the kinge, thus sayth the Lorde: for as muche as thou sentest messengers to aske thorowe Beelzebub the God of Akaron, as though there had bene no God in Israel to aske thorow this worde? therfore thou shalt not come of the bed on whiche thou art ascended, but shalt surely dye.

And the scribes which came from Ierusalem, sayde: he hathe Beelzebub, and by the power of the chiefe deuyll casteth out deuyls.

It is ynough for the discyple to be as his master is, and that the seruaunt be as hys Lorde is. If they haue called the good man of the house him selfe belzebub: how muche more shal they call them of his housholde so?

and cast their goddes in the fyre. Not wythstandynge those were no goddes but the worckes of mens handes, of wod or stone, therfore haue they destroyed them.

But some of them sayed: he casteth out deuyls by the power of Belzebub the chief of the deuyls.

Where the people of the Gentyles (whom my progenytours conquered) delyuered at any tyme thorow their goddes? As namely, Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, and the chyldren of Eden, which dwell at Thalassar.

And they sayde vnto him: there came a man against vs & sayde vnto vs: go and turne agayne vnto the kynge that sent you, & saye vnto him. Thus sayth the lord: It is because there is no God in Israel, that thou sendest to enquyre thorowe Beelzebub the God of Akaron? Therfore thou shalt not come doune from the bed on which thou art gone vp, but shalt surelye dye.

But the Aungell of the Lorde spake vnto Eliah the Thesbite: vp and go agaynst the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say vnto them: Is it because there is no God in Israel, that ye go to aske thorow Beelzebub the God of Akaron.

because they haue forsaken me, and haue bowed them selues vnto Astaroth the God of the Zydons, and to Camos the God of the Moabytes, and to Milcom the god of the chyldren of Ammon, and haue not walked in my wayes, to do that pleaseth me, and myne ordynaunces and customes, as dyd Dauid hys father.

and there sate in a wyndowe a certayne yonge man named Eutichos, fallen into a depe slepe. And as Paule declared, he was the more ouercome with slepe, and fell doune from the thyrde lofte, and was taken vp dead.

My beloued is lyke a Roo or a yong hart. Beholde, he standeth behynde oure wall, he loketh in at the wyndow, and pepeth thorow the grate.

As for the vngodly & he that ioyneth hym selfe to the company of wycked doers shall not destruccion & misery come vpon him?

Then they sente the arcke of God to Akaron. And as sone as the arcke of God came to Akaron, the Akaronites cryed out saying: they haue brought the Arcke of the God of Israel to vs: to slee vs & oure people.

Naye, but what people Camos thy God dryueth out, that land possesse thou. But whatsoeuer nacyons the Lorde oure God expelleth, that land ought we to enioye.

Thorow a wyndow loked Sisaras mother and howled thorow a lattesse, why abydeth his charet so long, that it cometh not, why tarye the wheles of his waggans?

But thou art scatered abroade with thy people (O house of Iacob) for ye go farre beyonde youre fathers, whether it be in Sorcerers (whome ye haue as the Phylystynes had) or in calkers of mens byrthes, whereof ye haue to manye.

and goeth oute on the side of Akaron northwarde: And then draweth to Secron and goeth a longe to mounte Balah, and goeth oute at Iabnel, and the ende of the coastes is the sea.

And when Ahab was sayde to rest with hys fathers, Ohoziah hys soune raygned in hys steade.

But they lefte the commaundementes of the Lorde their God, and made them Images of metall, euen .ij. calues: & made groues, and bowed them selues vnto all the host of heauen, & serued Baal,

And Egypt shalbe choked in her selfe. When they aske councel at their goddes, at their prophetes, at their sothsayers & witches, then will I brynge their councell to naught.
