Ther breaketh he the arowes of the bow, the shylde, the swearde, and the whole battaylle, Selah.

Neuertheles, their swerde shal go thorow their owne hert, and theyr bowe shalbe broken.

I can do al thinges thorowe the helpe of Christe whiche strengtheth me.

He hath made warres to cease in all the worlde: he hathe broken the bowe, he hathe knapped the speare in sonder, and brente the charettes in the fyre.

For the armes of the vngodly shalbe broken, but the Lorde vpholdeth the ryghteous.

For though ye had slayne the whole hoste of the Caldees, that besege you, and euery one of the slayne laye in his tente, yet should they stande vp, and set fyre vpon this cytie.

that ye come not among the presonners, or lye amonge the deade? After all this shall not the wrath of the Lord cease, but yet shall hys hande be stretched out styll.

Stande therfore, and your loynes gyrde about wyth veritie, hauinge on the breste plate of rightuousnes,

And what shall I more saye? the tyme woulde be to short for me to tell of Gedeon, of Baroch, and of Sampson, and of Iephtae: also of Dauid and Samuel, and of the Prophetes:

Thou hast gyrded me with strength vnto the battel, thou hast throwen them al downe vnder me that rose vp agaynst me.

Be styll then and confesse that I am God I will be exalted amonge the Heythen, and I will be exalted vpon earth.

but that he geueth strength vnto the weery, and power vnto the faynte?

For the destroyers shall come vpon her (euen vpon Babylon) whyche shall take her worthyes, & breake their bowes: for God is dysposed to auenge hym selfe vpon them, and suffycyentlye to recompence them.
