Talke not to muche proudlye: let olde thynges depart oute of your mouthes, for the Lorde is a God of knowledge, & iudgeth the thoughtes.

With me is the feare of the Lorde, and the eschuyng of euell. As for pryde, dysdayne, & euell waye, & a mouth that speaketh wicked thinges, I vtterly abhorre them.

and be mercyfull, and worcke, and geue euery man according to his wayes (euen as thou onelye knowest euerye mannes herte, for thou knowest the hertes of all the children of Adam)

If thou wylt saye: I knewe not of it. Thinkest thou that he which made the herts, doth not consider it? & that he which regardeth thy soule, seyth it not? Shall not he recompence euerye man accordynge to his workes?

For the word of God is quicke and myghty in operacion, and sharper then anye two edged swerde, and entreth through, euen vnto the diuiding a sonder of the soule and the spirite, and of the ioyntes and the marie, and iudgeth the thoughtes and the ententes of the herte:

A man thynketh al his waies to be cleane, but it is the Lord that fashyoneth the mindes

But thou Sennaherib, whom hast thou defyed & blasphemed? And agaynst whom hast thou lyfted vp thy voyce, & exalted thy proude lokes? euen agaynst the holy one of Israel.

Great is our Lord, & great is his power: yea, hys wysdome is infinitie.

How longe shall all wicked doers speake so disdaynfully, and make such proude boastynge?

Should not God fynde it out? for he knoweth the very secretes of the herte.

let me be weyed in an euen balaunce that God may se my innocency.

But the Lorde sayde vnto Samuel: loke not on his fashion nor on the height of hys stature, for I haue refused hym. Because it is not as man seyth. For man loketh on the outward apperaunce, but the Lorde beholdeth the harte.

And I will kyl her chyldren wyth death. And all the congregacions shal know, that I am he, whiche searched the reynes and hertes. And I will geue vnto euery one of you according vnto youre workes.

Ye speake harde wordes agaynst me, sayeth the Lorde. And yet ye saye: What haue we spoken agaynst the?

Thetel, thou arte weyed in the balaunce and arte founde to lyghte:

Then dyd I Nabuchodonosor loue, magnifye and prayse the kynge of heauen: for all hys worckes are true, and hys wayes righte. As for those that go on proudely, he is able to brynge them doune.

Euen I the Lorde search out the grounde of the herte, & trye the reynes, and rewarde euery man accordinge to hys wayes, and acordynge to the fruyte of his councels.

Thou (Lorde) consydrest the path of the ryghteous, whether it be ryghte, whether the waye of the ryghteous be ryght.

Which manteyne their owne welthinesse with oppression, and their mouthe speaketh proude thynges.

Let the lieng lippes be put to silence which cruely, disdainefully, and despitefully speake against the rightuous.

Set not vp your hornes on hie, and speake not wyth a styfe necke.

The myghtye God Iehouah he knoweth, and Israel shall knowe yf it be to rebelle or transgresse agaynste the Lorde, then the Lorde saue vs not thys daye.

Then sayde Zebul vnto hym: where is now thy mouthe that sayde, what felow is Abimelech, that we shulde serue him. These are the people that thou so despysedest. Go oute now a feloushyppe & fyght with them.

Thus wyth youre mouthes ye haue mayde youre boost agaynst me, yee & multyplyed youre proude wordes agaynst me, which I haue hearde altogether.
