and se that ye haue honest conuersacyon amonge the Gentyls, that they whiche backbyte you as euyll doars, maye se youre good workes and prayse God in the daye of visitacyon.

hauinge a good conscience, that when they backbyte you as euyl doers, they maye be ashamed, for as muche as they haue falsely accused your good conuersation in Christ.

Let your light so shyne before men that they maye se your good workes, and gloryfye your father which is in heauen.

and therfore make prouision for honest thynges, not in the syghte of God onelye, but also in the syght of men.

that ye may behaue your selues honestly towardes them that are wythout, and that nothinge be lackinge vnto you.

Let no man despyse thy youthe: but be vnto them that beleue, an ensample, in worde in conuersacyon, in loue, in spyryte, in fayth & in purenes.

So can no fountayne geue both salte water & freshe also. If any man be wyse and endued wyth learnynge amonge you, let hym shewe the workes of hys good conuersacyon in mekenes that is coupled with wysdome.

Onlye let your conuersation be as it becommeth the Gospell of Christ, that whether I come and se you, or els be absent, I maye yet heare of you, that ye continue in one spyrite, and in one soule, labouring as we do, to mayntayne the fayth of the Gospell,

Oure reioysinge is this, the testimony of oure conscience, that in synglenes and Godly purenes, and not in fleshely wysdome, but by the grace of God, we haue had oure conuersation in the worlde, and moste of all to youwardes.

If al these thinges shal perishe, what maner persons ought ye to be in holye conuersacyon and Godlynes:

Let vs walke honestlye as it were in the daye lyght: not in eatynge and drynkynge: neyther in chamburynge and wantonnes, neyther in stryfe & enuiynge:

Recompence to no man euyll for euyll. Prouyde afore hande thynges honest in the syght of all men.

Praye for vs. We haue confydence because we haue a good conscience in all thynges, and desyre to lyue honestlye.

for kynges, and for all that are in authorytye, that we maye lyue a quyete and a peasable lyfe, in all godlynes and honestye.

Furthermore brethren, whatsoeuer thynges are true, whatsoeuer thinges are honest, whatsoeuer thinges are iuste, whatsoeuer thinges are pure, whatsoeuer thinges pertaine to loue, whatsoeuer thinges are of honeste report: yf there be anie vertuous thinge yf there be anye laudable thinge,

So then as concernyng the conuersacyon in tyme past, laye from you that olde man, whyche is corrupte thorowe the deceyueable lustes

Who so offreth me thankes and prayse, he honoureth me: & this is the way, wherby I wyll shewe hym the sauynge healthe of God.

Let your conuersacyon be wythoute couetuousnes, and be content wyth that ye haue alreadye. For he verelye sayed: I wyll not fayle the, neyther forsake the:

And let the Gentyles prayse God for hys mercye, as it is written: For thys cause I wyll prayse the amonge the Gentyles, & sing in thy name.

and make the euen with the grounde, with children whiche are in the. And they shall not leaue in the one stone vpon another, because thou knowest not the tyme of thy visitacyon.

It is ynough for the discyple to be as his master is, and that the seruaunt be as hys Lorde is. If they haue called the good man of the house him selfe belzebub: how muche more shal they call them of his housholde so?

Blessed are ye when men reuile you and persecute you, and shal falsely say al maner of yuel sayinges against you for my sake.

Yf anye man speake let hym talke as though he spake the wordes of God. If any man mynistre, let hym do it as of the habilitie, whyche God ministreth vnto hym. That God in all thinges may be glorifyed thorowe IESUS Christ, to whom be prayse and domynyon for euer, and whyle the worlde standeth. Amen.

What wyll ye do in tyme of the visitacion and destruccyon, that shall come from farre? Tho whome wyll ye runne for helpe? or to whome will ye geue your honour that ye maye kepe it?

The vngodly drawe oute the swerde & bende their bowe, to caste doune the simple and poore, and to slaye suche as go the right waye.

amonge whiche we also had our conuersation in tyme paste, in the lustes of oure fleshe, and fulfylled the wyll of the fleshe and of the mynde, and were naturallye the chyldren of wrath, euen as well as other.

I desyre before God that ye do none euyll, not that we shoulde seme commendale, but that ye shoulde do that which is honest: and let vs be counted as leude persons.

and so are the secretes of hys herte opened, and so falleth he doune on hys face, and worshyppeth God, & sayeth that God is wyth you in dede.

Neyther can they proue the thynges wherof they accuse me.

Simon told, how God at the beginnynge dyd visite the gentyls, and receyued of them people vnto hys name.

Blessed are ye when men hate you, and thruste you out of their companye, and rayle, & abhorre youre name as an euill thinge, for the sonne of mans sake.

Blessed be the Lorde God of Israel, for he hath visyted and redemed his people.

And when the people sawe it, they marueyled & glorifyed God whiche hath geuen suche power to men.

When he was come, the Iewes, whiche were come from Hierusalem, came about hym and layd many and greuous complayntes agaynste Paul, whiche they could not proue

Wherfore the Prynces and Lordes soughte, to pycke oute in Danyel some quarell agaynst the kyngdom: yet coulde they fynde none occasyon nor faute vpon hym. For why? he was so faythful, that there was no blame nor dyshonestye founde in hym.

When he was gone oute, Iesus sayde: nowe is the sonne of man glorifyed. And God is glorified by hym.

But we wyll heare of the what thou thynkest. For we haue hearde of this secte that euery where it is spoken agaynste.

For whosoeuer in these thynges serueth Christe, pleaseth well God, & is commendeth of men.

and well reported of in good workes: yf she haue nouryshed chyldren, yf she haue bene lyberall to straungers, yf she haue washed the saynctes fete, yf she haue mynystred vnto them whiche were in aduersitie, yf she were contynually geuen vnto all maner good workes.

For so is the wyll of God, that ye put to sylence the ignorauncye of the folyshe men:

And she arose vp before one could knowe another. And he said: let no man beware, that there came any woman into the thresshing floure.
