Iames the seruaunte of God and of the Lorde Iesus Christ sendeth gretyng to the twelue trybes whiche are scattered here and there.

And they all dyed in fayth, and receyued not the promyses: but sawe them a farre of, & beleued them; and saluted them: and confessed that they were straungers and pylgrems on the earthe.

Nowe therfore ye are no more straungers and foreners, but citizyns with the sainctes, and of the houshold of God:

Thou lettest vs be eaten vp lyke shepe, & scaterest vs among the Heathen.

They that were scatered abroade, wente euery where preaching the word.

and not for the people only, but that he shoulde gather together in one the children of God which were scattered abrode.

yea, and except those dayes should be shortened, there shoulde no fleshe be saued: but for the chosens sake, those daies shalbe shortened.

Dearely beloued, I beseche you as straungers and pylgremes, obstayne from fleshely lustes, which fyght agaynste the soule,

And Haman sayde vnto kyng Ahasuerus: There is a people scatered abroade & dispersed amonge all people in all the landes of thyne empire, & their lawe is contrary vnto all people, & they do not after the kynges lawes, nether is it the kinges profet to suffre them after this maner.

And the Lord shall scater the amonge all nacions from the one ende of the world vnto the other and there thou shalt serue straunge goddes, whyche nether thou nor thy fathers haue knowne: euen wood and stone.

And the Lorde shal scatter you among nations, & ye shalbe left fewe in numbre among the people whyther the lord shal bryng you,

Simon Peter a seruaunte, and an Apostle of Iesus Christe, to them whyche haue obtained lyke precyous faith wyth vs in the rightuousnes that commeth of oure God and sauiour Iesu Christ.

Remember I saye, that ye were at that tyme without Christe, and were reputed aliantes from the commen welth of Israel, and were straungers from the testamentes of promes, and had no hope and were wythout God in thys worlde.

Brethren I woulde not haue you ignoraunt of oure trouble, whiche happened vnto vs in Asia. For we were greued out of measure passinge strength, so greatlye that we despeared euen of lyfe.

and founde a certayne Iewe named Aquila, borne in Ponthus, latelye come from Italye wyth hys wyfe Priscilla (because that the Emperour Claudius had commaunded all Iewes to depart from Rome) and he drewe vnto them.

Those that amonge you haue escaped the swearde, will I leaue amonge the Gentyles, for I wyll scatre you amonge the nacyons.

saiynge. I am Alpha and Omega, the fyrst and the laste. That thou seest wryte in a boke, and sende it vnto the congregacyons which are in Asia, vnto Ephesus, and vnto Smyrna, & vnto Pergamos, and vnto Sardis, & vnto Phyladelphia, and vnto Laodicia.

Thys thou knowest howe that all they whiche are in Asia, be turned from me. Of whiche sorte are Phygelos and Hermogenes.

and all the brethren whiche are with me. Vnto the congregacyons of Galacia.

The congregations of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscylla salute you muche in the Lorde, and so doth the congregation that is in theyr house.

And thys continued by the space of two yeares: so that all they whyche dwelt in Asia, hearde the worde of the Lorde Iesu, both Iewes & Grekes.

and when he had taryed there a while he departed. And went ouer al the countrey of Galacia and Phrigia by order, strenthinge al the disciples.

Then arose certaine of the Synagoge, whyche are called Lybertines and Syrenites, and of Alexandria, and of Cilicia, and Asia, and disputed with Stephan.

Then sayd the Iewes amonge them selues: whither wyll he go, that we shall not fynde him? Wyll he go amonge the gentyls which are scattered all abrode and teache the gentyls:

The names of the .xij. Apostles are these. The fyrst Simon called also Peter: and Andrewe his brother. Iames the sonne of Zebede, and Iohn his brother:

As Iesus walked by the sea of Galile, he sawe two brethren: Symon which was called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fysshers,

And I wyl strawe you among the Heathen, and wyl draw out a swerde after you, and youre land shal be waste, and your cityes desolate.

I haue determined to skatter them thorowoute the worlde, and to make awaye the remembraunce of theym from amonge men.

And shall not God aduenge his electe, which crye daye and nyghte vnto hym, ye though he defarre them?
