And Joseph said to his brothers, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land which he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

Return, we plead with you, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;

​LORD, you have been favorable to your land: you have brought back the captives of Jacob.

And the people believed: and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the lands beyond the sea.

But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall plunder those of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.

And there shall be a highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; as it was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cling to the house of Jacob.

Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy for wild donkeys, a pasture for flocks;

And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries to which I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

For thus says the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

And I will be found by you, says the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places to which I have driven you, says the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place from which I caused you to be taken away captive.

In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance to your fathers.

For, lo, the days are coming, says the LORD, that I will bring back the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, says the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

For thus says the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: declare ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save your people, the remnant of Israel.

Men shall buy fields for money, and sign deeds, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, says the LORD.

Thus says the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

Baldness has come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley: how long will you cut yourself?

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Now will I bring back the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;

Also, O Judah, he has appointed a harvest for you, when I returned the captivity of my people.

And those of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and those of the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin shall possess Gilead.

I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of you; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together like the sheep of Bozrah, like the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make a loud noise because of the multitude of men.

Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in birth labor: for now shall you go forth out of the city, and you shall dwell in the field, and you shall go even to Babylon; there shall you be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem you from the hand of your enemies.

And I will make her who limped a remnant, and her who was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from this time forwards, even for ever.

Therefore as I live, says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be like Sodom, and the children of Ammon like Gomorrah, even for the growing of nettles, and salt pits, and a perpetual desolation: the remainder of my people shall plunder them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them.

The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

At that time will I bring you back, even at the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, says the LORD.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people feared before the LORD.

Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the rest of the people, saying,

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he has visited and redeemed his people,

And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God has visited his people.

And the angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south to the way that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza, which is desert.

But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through, he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the selection of grace.

Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread.
