And I, where shall I make my shame go? and as for you, you shall be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray you, speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you.

And as for you, if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and shall observe my statutes and my judgments;

To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.

O LORD, you have brought up my soul from the grave: you have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

For the LORD hears the poor, and does not despise his prisoners.

And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD has made with you concerning all these words.

And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.

But this is a people robbed and plundered; they are all of them snared in pits, and they are hid in prison houses: they are a prey, and none delivers; a spoil, and none says, Restore.

To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and those who sit in darkness out of the prison house.

That you may say to the prisoners, Go out; to those who are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the pathways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.

The captive exile hastens that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.

And those who shall be of you shall build the old waste places: you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings to the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

Then they took Jeremiah, and put him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sank in the mire.

As for you, O king, your thoughts came into your mind upon your bed, what would come to pass hereafter: and he who reveals secrets makes known to you what shall come to pass.

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

And he said to them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

And he cried out and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are bruised,

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had eaten, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.

But as for you, stand here by me, and I will speak to you all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.

For then would they not have ceased to be offered? Because the worshipers once cleansed would have had no more consciousness of sins.

Of how much severer punishment, do you suppose, shall he be thought worthy who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has considered the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has despised the Spirit of grace?

Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

And threw him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he would deceive the nations no more till the thousand years would be ended: and after that he must be loosed for a little season.
