Shall the axe boast itself against him that cuts with it? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that moves it? as if the rod should shake itself against those who lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.
Woe to him that strives with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashions it, What are you making? or your work, He has no hands?
Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel in which is no pleasure? why are they cast out, he and his children, and are cast into a land which they do not know?
