God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That you might be justified in your sayings, and might overcome when you are judged.
I will worship toward your holy temple, and praise your name for your loving kindness and for your truth: for you have magnified your word above all your name.
The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners. But wisdom is justified by her children.
I say then, Have they stumbled so that they would fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation has come to the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.
Was then that which is good made death to me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear to be sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
He that believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself: he that does not believe God has made him a liar; because he does not believe the record that God gave of his Son.
And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we may know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things says he who is holy, he who is true, he who has the key of David, he who opens, and no one shuts; and shuts, and no one opens;
