Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.

Truly, truly, I say to you, He who hears my word, and believes in him who sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but has passed from death to life.

And this is the will of him who sent me, that every one who sees the Son, and believes in him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him who believes in Jesus.

But to one who does not work, but believes in him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but through the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified through the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Therefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached beforehand the gospel to Abraham, saying, In you shall all nations be blessed.

Not of works, lest anyone should boast.

And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Yea, a man may say, You have faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

But do you desire to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

You see then that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
