In that day shall you not be ashamed of all your doings, in which you have transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of you those who rejoice in your pride, and you shall no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.

He who believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he who does not believe shall be damned.

He who believes in the Son has everlasting life: and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God remains on him.

For Moses describes the righteousness which is of the law, That the man who does those things shall live by them.

And if by grace, then it is no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it is of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Behold, you are called a Jew, and rest in the law, and make your boast of God,

You who make your boast of the law, through breaking the law do you dishonor God?

Now we know that whatever things the law says, it says to those who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him who believes in Jesus.

For if Abraham were justified by works, he has a reason to glory; but not before God.

I find it then to be a law that when I desire to do good, evil is present with me.

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to selection might stand, not because of works, but because of him that calls;)

But Israel, who followed after the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness.

Why? Because they sought it not by faith, but as if by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone;

For who makes you to differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you received it, why do you glorify yourself, as if you had not received it?

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but through the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified through the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

But the scripture has included all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
