In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, To your descendents have I given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goes toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

David struck also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.

And it shall be, when you have made an end of reading this book, that you shall tie a stone to it, and throw it into the midst of Euphrates:

Turn, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and to all the places near it, in the plain, in the hills, and in the valley, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and to Lebanon, to the great river, the river Euphrates.

From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory.

And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

And after these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound them.

And the four angels were loosed, who were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, to slay the third part of men.
