Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked plans to pass.

But that on the good ground are those who in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

But all these things will they do to you for my name’s sake, because they do not know him who sent me.

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing earnest in prayer;

Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labor in the Lord. Greet the beloved Persis, who labored much in the Lord.

To those who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life:

But if we hope for what we do not see, then do we wait for it with patience.

Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

That you submit yourselves to such, and to everyone that works with us, and labors.

Not boasting of things beyond our limit, that is, of other men’s labors; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our sphere abundantly,

Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labors more abundant, in stripes beyond measure, in prisons more frequent, in danger of death often.

Therefore seeing that we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not faint;

For which reason we do not faint; but though our outward man is perishing, yet the inner man is being renewed day by day.

Therefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted by him.

In stripes, in imprisonment, in tumults, in labor, in sleeplessness, in fasting;

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for when the time is right we shall reap, if we do not faint.

Holding out the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, nor labored in vain.

And I appeal to you also, true yoke fellow, help those women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with my other fellow laborers, whose names are in the book of life.

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patient hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

For you remember, brethren, our labor and travail: for laboring night and day, because we would not be an expense to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.

And we plead with you, brethren, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

But you, brethren, do not be weary in well doing.

And may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

Neither did we eat anyone’s bread for nothing; but worked with labor and toil night and day, that we might not be an expense to any of you:

For this is why we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and teaching.

For you have need of patience, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise.

Therefore seeing that we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Let us go out therefore to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which you have shown toward his name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

That you be not slothful, but followers of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation which shall come upon all the world to try those who dwell upon the earth.
