Your wrath lies heavy upon me, and you have afflicted me with all your waves. Selah.
For it increases. You hunt me like a fierce lion: and again you show yourself to be wondrous upon me.
For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison of which my spirit drinks up: the terrors of God set themselves in formation against me.
Because of your indignation and your anger: for you have lifted me up, and thrown me down.
For day and night your hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
O LORD, rebuke me not in your wrath: neither punish me in your hot displeasure.
Deep calls to deep at the noise of your pouring waters: all your waves and your billows have gone over me.
I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried up: my eyes fail while I wait for my God.
For we are consumed by your anger, and by your wrath are we troubled.
For you had thrown me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods surrounded me: all your billows and your waves passed over me.
Then I said, I am cast out of your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.
He who believes in the Son has everlasting life: and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God remains on him.
Who his own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live to righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed.
