​Out of the depths have I cried out unto you, O LORD.

For the enemy has pursued my soul; he has struck my life down to the ground; he has made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.

He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

Let not the flood of water overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

For great is your mercy toward me: and you have delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
