They came round about me daily like water; they surrounded me together.

The sorrows of death surrounded me, and the pains of hell got hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul:

For dogs have surrounded me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Deep calls to deep at the noise of your pouring waters: all your waves and your billows have gone over me.

The princes of Judah were like those who remove the landmark: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
