For we all must die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither does God respect any person: yet he devises means, that his banished be not expelled from him.
When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will show them no favor.
According to the number of the days in which you searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall you bear your iniquities, even forty years, and you shall know the breaking of my promise.
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: has he said, and shall he not do it? or has he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some men count slowness; but is longsuffering towards us, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
