Many, O LORD my God, are your wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are towards us: they cannot be recounted in order to you: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
Blessed is the man whom you choose, and cause to approach unto you, that he may dwell in your courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, even of your holy temple.
My tongue also shall talk of your righteousness all the day long: for they are brought into perplexity, for they are brought to shame, that seek my hurt.
For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit:
And Saul said, Let us go down after the Philistines by night, and plunder them until the morning light, and let us not leave a man of them. And they said, Do whatever seems good to you. Then said the priest, Let us come near unto God here.
