And do not cover their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before you: for they have provoked you to anger before the builders.

Why do you persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?

And those who are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.

And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing on it, but leaves only, and said to it, Let no fruit grow on you from now on for ever. And soon after the fig tree withered away.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a corrupt mind, to do those things which are not suitable;

Therefore he has mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardens.

But Israel, who followed after the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness.
