Let not the flood of water overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

And the waters prevailed, and increased greatly on the earth; and the ark went on the face of the waters.

For you will not leave my soul in the grave; neither will you permit your Holy One to see corruption.

For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be held by it.

He seeing this beforehand spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in the grave, neither did his flesh see corruption.
