Your own mouth condemns you, and not I: yea, your own lips testify against you.

As for the head of those that surround me, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out your arrows, and destroy them.

All those who see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

I was a reproach among all my enemies, but especially among my neighbors, and a fear to my acquaintances: those who saw me outside fled from me.

The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.

When my enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at your presence.

The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.

A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.

To make their land desolate, and a perpetual hissing; every one that passes by it shall be astonished, and wag his head.

For was not Israel a derision to you? was he found among thieves? for since you spoke of him, you skipped for joy.

And it shall come to pass, that all those who look upon you shall flee from you, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? where shall I seek comforters for you?

And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, So that the earth does not swallow us up also.

They said to him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard to other farmers, who shall return to him the fruits in their seasons.

And he said to him, Out of your own mouth will I judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was a severe man, taking up what I did not lay down, and reaping what I did not sow:

Standing afar off for fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour has your judgment come.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not sharers in her sins, and that you do not receive of her plagues.
