Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that bites the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

For dogs have surrounded me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.

For my iniquities have gone over my head: as a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

I will open my mouth in a parable: I will tell dark sayings of old:

If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.

His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be held with the cords of his sins.

And they do not consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings surround them; they are before my face.

Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.

And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab has brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse for me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.

Saying, Fear not, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God has given you all those who sail with you.

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.

Now therefore, let not my blood fall to the earth before the face of the LORD: for the king of Israel is come out to seek a flea, as when one hunts a partridge in the mountains.
