So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s anger pacified.

Before I go from where I shall not return, even to the land of darkness and the shadow of death;

Does not their excellence which is in them go away? they die, even without wisdom.

Nevertheless man being in honor does not remain: he is like the beasts that perish.

But if a man lives many years, and rejoices in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that comes is vanity.
