The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runs into it, and is safe.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which kills the prophets, and stones those who are sent to you; how often would I have gathered your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not!

For what nation is there so great, who has God so near to them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
