I will say unto God my rock, Why have you forgotten me? why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

​How long will you forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long will you hide your face from me?

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

​Unto you will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if you be silent to me, I become like those who go down into the pit.

I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.

For you are the God of my strength: why do you cast me off? why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they throw iniquity upon me, and in anger they hate me.

He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.

Has God forgotten to be gracious? has he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.

And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.

My eye mourns because of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon you, I have stretched out my hands to you.

Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.

So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of those that were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.

Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over by my God?

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget you.
