He has put my brethren far from me, and my acquaintances are indeed estranged from me.

He lies in wait concealed as a lion in his den: he lies in wait to catch the poor: he catches the poor, when he draws him into his net.

The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from your precepts.

The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set traps for me. Selah.

Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the traps of the workers of iniquity.

I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

For they do not speak peace: but they devise deceitful purposes against those who are quiet in the land.

Let them be disappointed and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.

My enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.

For the zeal of your house has consumed me; and the reproaches of those who reproached you have fallen upon me.

My eye mourns because of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon you, I have stretched out my hands to you.

All the brothers of the poor hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursues them with words, yet they do not help him.
