For this shall every one that is godly pray unto you in a time when you may be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come near to him.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you.
Thus says the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard you, and in a day of salvation have I helped you: and I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause the desolate inheritances to be inhabited;
Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
(For he says, I have heard you in a time that is accepted, and in the day of salvation have I helped you: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
However for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might demonstrate all longsuffering, for a pattern to those who would afterwards believe in him to life everlasting.
