And David said to Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said to David, The LORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die.

Why have you despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

And David’s heart struck him after he had numbered the people. And David said to the LORD, I have sinned greatly in what I have done: and now, I plead with you, O LORD, take away the iniquity of your servant; for I have done very foolishly.

And David spoke to the LORD when he saw the angel that struck the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let your hand, I pray you, be against me, and against my father’s house.

And forgive your people that have sinned against you, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against you, and give them compassion in the sight of those who took them captive, that they may have compassion on them:

Then whatever prayer or supplication shall be made by any man, or by all your people Israel, when every one shall know his own sore and his own grief, and shall spread forth his hands in this house:

Now therefore make confession unto the LORD God of your fathers, and do his will: and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the foreign wives.

If I concealed my transgressions as Adam did, by hiding my iniquity in my bosom:

He looks at men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it did not profit me;

As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases;

Turn thou to me, and have mercy on me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

Look upon my affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

For his anger endures but a moment; in his favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

For I will declare my iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

But my enemies are vigorous, and they are strong: and those who hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part you shall make me to know wisdom.

But you, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy to all those who call upon you.

He who covers his sins shall not prosper: but he who confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.

Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eats, and wipes her mouth, and says, I have done no wickedness.

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

How can you say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see your way in the valley, know what you have done: you are a swift camel zigzagging in her ways;

Yet you say, Because I am innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with you, because you say, I have not sinned.

Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have transgressed against the LORD your God, and have spread your ways among the strangers under every green tree, and you have not obeyed my voice, says the LORD.

Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spoke against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my heart is troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, says the LORD.

Come, and let us return to the LORD: for he has torn, and he will heal us; he has stricken, and he will bind us up.

And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he has sinned in that thing:

Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed me. But you say, How have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings.

And he said to them, You are those who justify yourselves before men; but God knows your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

Therefore I say to you, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.

And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.

And Joshua said to Achan, My son, give, I pray you, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what you have done; hide it not from me.
