And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who has not left my master destitute of his mercy and his truth: I being on the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s brothers.
Seeing you came but yesterday, should I this day make you go here and there with us? seeing I go where I may, return, and take back your kinfolk with you: mercy and truth be with you.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me: you shall stretch out your hand against the anger of my enemies, and your right hand shall save me.
O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things; your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you.
Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth, who have obeyed his commands; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be you shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.
Behold, we consider them happy who endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the purpose of the Lord; that the Lord is full of compassion, and of tender mercy.
