And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

The righteous also shall keep to his way, and he that has clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.

O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts reside within you?

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

And saying, Sirs, why are you doing these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach to you that you should turn from these vanities to the living God, who made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are in it:

And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

And lest you lift up your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, should be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD your God has given to all nations under the whole heaven.

For whoremongers, for those who defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for oathbreakers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

I desire therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without anger and doubting.

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.

And there shall by no means enter into it anything that defiles, neither whatever works abomination, or makes a lie: but those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
