And Asa cried out unto the Lord his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with you to help, whether with many, or with those who have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we depend on you, and in your name we are going against this multitude. O LORD, you are our God; let not man prevail against you.

How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, who is a worm?

Yea, let none that wait on you be ashamed: let them be ashamed who transgress without cause.

Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD who is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose you.

He is despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

He gives his cheek to him that strikes him: he is filled full with reproach.

The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners. But wisdom is justified by her children.

But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow does not cast out devils, except by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

And the Jews marveled, saying, How does this man know letters, having never learned?

The people answered and said, You have a devil: who is attempting to kill you?

Then answered the Jews, and said to him, Do we not rightly say that you are a Samaritan, and have a devil?

Therefore Jesus also, so that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.

And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are your ways, you King of saints.
