My soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning: I say, more than those who watch for the morning.

I came before the dawning of the morning, and cried out: I hoped in your word.

Behold, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD.

Deliver me from all my transgressions: do not make me the reproach of the foolish.

When I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the night watches.

And he cried out, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my post whole nights:

Then fearing that we would fall upon rocks, they threw four anchors out of the stern, and wished for the day.
