My eyes precede the night watches, that I might meditate on your word.
I will meditate on your precepts, and have respect towards your ways.
At midnight I will rise to give thanks to you because of your righteous judgments.
O God, you are my God; early will I seek you: my soul thirsts for you, my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
When I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the night watches.
Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up your hands toward him for the life of your young children that faint for hunger at the head of every street.
And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
