Be a guarantee for your servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.
I will be surety for him; of my hand shall you require him: if I do not bring him to you, and set him before you, then let me bear the blame for ever:
Establish it now, provide me a pledge with you; who is he that will make an agreement with me?
You have rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from your commandments.
Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I mourned like a dove: my eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; come and help me.
By so much was Jesus made a guarantee of a better covenant.
