The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from your precepts.
With my whole heart have I sought you: O let me not wander from your commandments.
You have rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from your commandments.
The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not turned aside from your law.
The proud have dug pits for me, those who are not in accord with your law.
They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I did not forsake your precepts.
The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider your testimonies.
