Then I called on the name of the LORD; O LORD, I plead with you, deliver my soul.
I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.
In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried out unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Deliver my soul from the sword; my beloved from the power of the dog.
The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring me out of my distresses.
This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.
Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for your mercies’ sake.
For in death there is no remembrance of you: in the grave who shall give you thanks?
And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but beat upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
And Jesus was invited, and also his disciples, to the marriage.
