Because he has turned his ear to me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?
Blessed be the LORD, because he has heard the voice of my supplications.
Bow down your ear to me; deliver me speedily: be my strong rock, for a house of defense to save me.
For you are my rock and my fortress; therefore for your name’s sake lead me, and guide me.
I waited patiently for the LORD; and he turned to me, and heard my cry.
O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before you:
For you had thrown me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods surrounded me: all your billows and your waves passed over me.
And he spoke a parable to them for this purpose, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
