Seeing you came but yesterday, should I this day make you go here and there with us? seeing I go where I may, return, and take back your kinfolk with you: mercy and truth be with you.

Your word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth to such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

And it shall be for a sign to you upon your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that the LORD’S law may be in your mouth: for with a strong hand has the LORD brought you out of Egypt.

And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

For they shall be an ornament of grace to your head, and necklaces around your neck.

Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to those who devise good.

By mercy and truth iniquity is cleansed: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upheld by mercy.

Bind them continually on your heart, and tie them around your neck.

Bind them upon your fingers, write them on the tablet of your heart.

The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is engraved upon the tablet of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;

Hear the word of the LORD, you children of Israel: for the LORD has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and turned many away from iniquity.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought you to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

In that you are plainly declared to be the letter of Christ presented by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, the Lord says, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
