Take his garment that is a guarantee for a stranger, and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.
If you at all take your neighbor’s clothing as a pledge, you shall deliver it to him before the sun goes down:
He who is a guarantee for a stranger shall suffer for it: and he who hates suretyship is sure.
Take the garment of him who is a guarantee for a stranger: and take a pledge from him for a strange woman.
A prudent man foresees the evil, and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.
