Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles:

If I rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him:

But in my adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the outcasts gathered themselves together against me, and I did not know it; they tore me, and did not cease:

Let not those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me for no reason.

As with a sword in my bones, my enemies reproach me; while they say daily to me, Where is your God?

He who mocks the poor reproaches his Maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished.

Lest the LORD see it, and it displeases him, and he turns away his anger from him.

But you should not have looked on the day of your brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither should you have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither should you have spoken proudly in the day of distress.

Rejoice not against me, O my enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light to me.

And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make sport for us. And they called for Samson out of the prison house; and he made sport for them: and they set him between the pillars.
