Better is the poor that walks in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.

But as for me, I will walk in my integrity: redeem me, and be merciful to me.

He is always merciful, and lends; and his descendents are blessed.

The righteous is more excellent than his neighbor: but the way of the wicked seduces them.

He that walks in his uprightness fears the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despises him.

Put away from you a stubborn mouth, and perverse lips put far from you.

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue has muttered perverseness.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Now therefore know and consider what you will do; for evil is determined against our master, and against all his household: for he is such a son of Belial, that a man cannot speak to him.

Let not my lord, I pray you, regard this man of Belial, even Nabal: for as his name is, so is he; Nabal is his name, and folly is with him: but I your handmaid did not see the young men of my lord, whom you did send.
