He that justifies the wicked and he that condemns the just, even they both are an abomination to the LORD.

And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth blasphemed God and the king. Then they took him away out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.

They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

Keep far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous do not slay: for I will not justify the wicked.

A false balance is an abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

Also to punish the just is not good, nor to strike princes for their uprightness.

It is not good to favor the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.

These six things does the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination to him:

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Who justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,

And will you pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?

For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.

You who turn judgment to wormwood, and cease to do righteousness in the earth,

Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for you have turned justice into bitterness, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:

But to one who does not work, but believes in him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

You have condemned and killed the just; and he does not resist you.
