As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife.

An angry man stirs up strife, and a furious man abounds in transgression.

If it is possible, as much as it depends on you, live peacefully with all men.

And that you strive to be quiet, and to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
