The way of the slothful man is as a hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain.
What man is he that fears the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
Teach me your way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of my enemies.
Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before my face.
The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
A wrathful man stirs up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeases strife.
A wise son makes a glad father: but a foolish man despises his mother.
The slothful man says, There is a lion outside, I shall be slain in the streets.
Thorns and snares are in the way of the wayward: he that keeps his soul shall be far from them.
The slothful man says, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
They are all plain to him that understands, and right to those who find knowledge.
And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk in it, when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left.
And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for others: the traveling men, though fools, shall not err therein.
And shall say, Build up, build up, prepare the way, take the stumbling block out of the way of my people.
