As he loved cursing, so let it come to him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompense of a man’s hands shall be returned to him.

There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.

The heart knows its own bitterness; and a stranger does not partake of its joy.

The simple believe every word: but the prudent man looks well to his going.

A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.

Why then has this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold firmly to deceit, they refuse to return.

Therefore have I poured out my indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, says the Lord GOD.

For Israel slides back like a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed them like a lamb in a large place.

And those who are turned back from the LORD; and those who have not sought the LORD, nor inquired for him.

But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conduct in the world, and more abundantly towards you.

But let everyone test his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

For he who sows to his flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Be careful, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
