He who loves instruction loves knowledge: but he who hates reproof is stupid.

Make me to understand the way of your precepts: so shall I talk of your wondrous works.

Let the righteous strike me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

Do not be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near to you.

Seeing you hate instruction, and thrust my words behind you.

A stupid man does not know; neither does a fool understand this.

Surely I am more stupid than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.

I love those who love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Now therefore listen to me, O you children: for blessed are those who keep my ways.

But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul: all those who hate me love death.

The ox knows his owner, and the donkey his master’s feeding crib: but Israel does not know, my people do not consider.

And the priest shall see him: and, behold, if the swelling be white in the skin, and it has turned the hair white, and there be living raw flesh in the swelling;

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in those who perish; because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
